Despite my lack of wordage on the blog, I am still alive. Cross season is in full swing, starting with Starcrossed and the Rad Racing GP the next day. The muddy conditions at Starcross couldn't of suited me better but it was not my day. I believe I landed a top 40 ( it was one of those days) so I'm pleased considering.

The Rad Racing NW GP on the following day went a little more as expected. A back row start of 60 resulted in endless passing. Thought is was easy to move up through the field, I defiantly had to burn some matches in the process. By the end of the second lap I found myself riding top 25 and by the end of the race I finished top 20. Good day on the bike and plenty of intensity in the legs after a double header weekend.

Interbike and CrossVegas was next on the agenda. First things first, I flew in to Vegas on a Monday and flew out Friday, first mistake. Unless you have a corporate credit card and know the ins and outs of Vegas, this is too long to be on the strip. Anyways, the racing started on Wednesday with the industry cup. My man at Specialized road himself to a solid 2nd place finish, props Alan. My cross race started at 9p.m. with a field of 100 rolling at the gun. A wreck 10 seconds in split the field and left the back 50 in a tangled mess. I had the privilege of starting clipped in since I shared the back row with Carl Decker. Moving up was easy as there was plenty of room for passing. On one of the two run ups, I began hopping the barriers as I got sick of running, whats new. Evidently this was a crow pleasure as everyone was going crazy despite my top 45 finish. Next year I know what to expect, lots of riding on slow grass with the consistency of wet shag carpet. Good times though, you will see me next year. Check out for more info.

I was there at CrossVegas and watched you jump the barriers each lap. It was fun and exciting. It didn't matter to the crowd what place you were in but the daring and skill to took to do it! - Joe
