In two weeks I will be heading to Downieville to make my second attempt in the all-mountain class in the Downieville Classic. After Ashland 12, I will very make little changes to the S-works Stumpjumper in preparation for the two event weekend. Set up with a Specialized Command post, SRAM XX drivetrain and fresh Easton Haven wheels, the Stumpy is ready for the big show. Weighing in just a hair over 24 lbs, I'm aiming for solid reliability with "The Captain" 2.2" GRID tires along with a 1X10 shifting system. This bike is ready to float through the rock gardens, I just need to get it to the top of the mountain.

Small details. Specialized grips with integrated post drop lever, grip tape for added security.

Looking fast in red, ready to rip Derby Park and then some.

A handful of photos from Ashland

2nd at Ashland 12 mile Super-D! Adam Craig won and Carl Decker was 3rd. I have had a handful of rewarding finishes this year but Ashland has motivated me more than ever, particularly going into the remaining end of season races. Downieville, nationals and Crankworx. Game on.
