After two months of down time my collarbone is back together and I'm ready to resume the race season.  First race back was the Ashland round of the Oregon Enduro series.  After 4 stages of racing, I finished 6th against a well stacked.  My goal of finishing in the top ten in the overall was rewarding and a 3rd place finish on the final 20+ minute stage was the icing on the cake.

Last weekend I carried that momentum into Sun Valley where I competed for the national Super-D title.  After making good time on the opening 6 minute climb luck ran out as I sliced my rear tire half way down the 20 minute dh run.  It's a long drive to get a flat in a race but that's racing. Legs are GOOD and I'm feeling fresh going into a big block of racing. The nationals and the upcoming Hood River Enduro will be documented by the talented Brian Vernor, expect epic photos/video coverage of the racing and time in the back country in the near future.  Check out a recent video project he created for GQ magazine.
